Put into bat by RCB captain Virat Kohli, Gambhir and Sunil Narine opened the KKR innings. Narine got a superb start, but Gambhir was quiet, eating up four balls for no run.

But it changed soon, on the fifth ball, when Tymal Mills sent down a short bouncer. Gambhir jumped, feet in the air, to reach to the ball, and hit a six over the third man boundary. A sight to cherish.

Gambhir, however, didn't last long. He became the first KKR batsman to get out, falling to Mills. The skipper made 14 off 11 balls.

The innings was folded for a paltry 131.
