He might not be in the best of form, but Dhoni unleashed his power yet again as his six went over long and landed on the roof of the Chinnaswamy stadium.

Ever since that shot was played, cricket fans have been searching for the longest six ever hit in the IPL history.

While Chris Gayle, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are some of the biggest hitters in the tournament, it was South African all-rounder Albie Morkel, who owns the record for the longest six hit in the tournament.

The bowler was Pragyan Ojha, who bowled a flighted delivery and the left-hander dispatched it high and long over deep midwicket and the ball cleared the stadium.

The six is said to be 123m long making it the longest six in the history of IPL.
