The ability to finish games with an ice-cold mind definitely ranks at the top. Mahi is also known for his unorthodox field setting and batting technique.

Not known to show much emotion on a cricket field, it's almost impossible to understand what he thinks during matches.

Dhoni is shy and guards his personal space with utmost care. Hence it came as a surprise when he agreed for a biopic on his life.

A man who refuses interviews and even doesn't entertain phone calls from his teammates, agreeing to reveal little-known details of his life was quite astounding.

On Tuesday however, Dhoni revealed how he was convinced to let a film be made on his cricket journey.

According to the wicketkeeper-batsman, it was his friend, manager and business partner Arun Pandey who came up with the idea.

Naturally, Dhoni wasn't comfortable with this at first but was left with no option after Pandey struck a deal without him in the know.

"I didn’t pay any attention to Arun when he came up with this idea first. But problem took place when he quickly came back and said that we have finalised the deal. So then I couldn’t back off. I thought that making the film will take a lot of time," Dhoni told reporters at an event.

Considering the fact Dhoni is still an active player, audiences can be certain that no sensational details about the inner workings of Indian cricket will be revealed.

Also, those wanting to know the inside details about the 2013 IPL spot-fixing and betting scandal are bound to be disappointed.

The biopic will also not address Dhoni's relationship with controversial cricket administrator N Srinivasan.

The movie, which releases on September 30, will highlight the struggles of Dhoni through his journey from Ranchi to the echelons of Indian cricket.
