Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam did not appreciate a question asked to him by a journalist as he sarcastically asked the journo if he should play with a strike rate of 300. Zalmi suffered a horrific defeat against Islamabad United on Thursday (February 24) by 6 wickets. The Babar Azam-led side scored 156 in the first innings with the captain scoring 75 off 58 balls in 20 overs. In reply, Islamabad United reached their target in just 14.5 overs as Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 62 off 31 along with van der Dussen 42 (29) and Asif Ali 29 (13)*.
During the game, Zalmi were at 76/0 and in the blink of an eye, they were 99/5. The journalist asked Babar if he thought he should have scored at a better strike rate, to which the skipper replied like this....

"See, you try. People keep saying things. My strike rate in the first 10 overs was nearly 160. But when you lose 5-6 wickets back to back, you don't try to take your strike rate to 200. You have to build a partnership then. That is what I tried to do," said the captain.
Babar Azam explained that his side kept losing wickets, so he started batting defensively to build a partnership. (READ: 'Salaam Rocky Bhai': Dinesh Karthik Meets KGF-Fame Actor Yash, Shares Pic On Social Media)
After scoring 156 in 20 overs, Peshawar Zalmi's bowling attack could not make an impact against Islamabad United batters. Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 62 off 31 balls alongside Rassie van der Dussen (42) and captain Shadab Khan scored an unbeaten 28. It was Peshawar Zalmi's second loss in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSG). Next up, they will face the Lahore Qalandars on Sunday (February 26) at the same venue.
