Virender Sehwag makes best use of 140 characters on Twitter: Anil Kumble
From hilarious birthday wishes, to taking a stand on important matters, Sehwag has been in phenomenal form on Twitter in the last few months.
New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag is ruling the hearts of the Indian cricket fans with his brilliant sense of humour.
The Delhi batsman, who is currently a part of the commentary team for the ongoing India-New Zealand Test series, has built a huge fan base on social-media over the last few months as a result of hilarious birthday wishes.
In trademark style, Sehwag wishes cricketers from across the globe in a unique manner, where he seems to have mastered the art of word-play. (HILARIOUS! God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar trolled by Virender Sehwag - Here's Why!)
While the fans are left in awe of Viru's brilliance on social media, even Indian cricket team's coach Anil Kumble couldn't stop himself from praising the dynamic batsman's presence on Twitter.
After India's comprehensive 178-run win against Kiwis in second Test, speaking at a press conference, Kumble said that Sehwag was one of the best when it came to making the best use of 140 characters on micro-blogging site Twitter.
"Credit to BCCI that we are playing 13 Test matches at home. And in new centres, where people will want to be involved in Test cricket. At the same time, like I mentioned, it will be a great tool for digital marketing. Viru is the best amongst (all of us) on this stage with 140 characters but all I can say is in this digital era, it's a great platform to promote Test cricket," said Kumble.
From hilarious birthday wishes, to taking a stand on important matters, Sehwag has been in phenomenal form on Twitter in the last few months. (Not MS Dhoni, not Sachin Tendulkar but these two are Virender Sehwag's favourite skippers)
He ensures there is no dearth for entertainment from the commentary box as well, from where he unleashes mind-blowing pun-liners to keep the fans engaged.
