New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Monday arrested the main accused driver who crashed into a private cab in south Delhi and killed a Uber cab driver on Sunday night.

The 24-year-old driver was behind the wheels he rammed his BMW car into a WagonR in south Delhi's Munirka area.


Both cars were on their way from Kalkaji to Vasant Vihar when they collided near Munirka flyover, police said.


Deceased Nazrul Islam, 32-year-old, died on the spot after the crash. He was on his very first day into the new job on Sunday. His family has been informed and his body sent for post-mortem.The driver of the BMW SUV managed to escape.


After the accident, the accused driver fled the scene and was absconding. 


The impact of the crash was so much that the Uber cab flung in the air.


Hundreds of cab drivers have started their protest outside the Vasant Vihar Police station in New Delhi, demanding the arrest of BMW driver who was involved in a fatal accident that took place earlier today near Munirka.
