Singh was forced to step down as cabinet minister in the AAP government in Delhi following allegations that he obtained fake degree.

The latest news comes after police last Wednesday filed a chargesheet in a Delhi court against Tomar in the fake degree case.

The Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University on Monday cancelled Tomar's degree.

In its charge sheet, the Delhi police claimed that Tomar obtained fake law degree from the university.

The former AAP minister had also allegedly submitted a fake BSc degree, claiming that he received it from Avadh University in Uttar Pradesh.

Citing the chargesheet, a media report said that Tomar was “desperate for a graduation or a post graduation degree” and opted for “illegal means”.

He forged documents and marksheets when he did not succeed in getting one, it alleged.
