New Delhi: The nursery admission process in Delhi is set to start from December 27, 2017. The first list is expected to be declared on February 15, 2018.

The admission process will close on March 31, 2018, as per reports. The last date of submission of application forms in schools is January 17, 2018. 


The upper age limit for admission to nursery class is four years. One-year relaxation is for children with special needs.


"In accordance with the Delhi School Education Acts and Rules (DSEAR) 1973, the minimum age limit for admission in pre-school, pre-primary and class -I are prescribed as 3 years, 4 years and 5 years respectively as on March 31 of the year in which admission is being sought," an official notification by the Directorate of Education (DoE) had said in December 2015.


"Now, the competent authority has fixed the upper age limit for admission inentry-levell classes as - 4 years for pre-school, 5 years for pre-primary and 6 years for class I," it had added.


The upper age limit for admission in entry-level classes for differently abled children has been decided as 5 years, 6 years and 7 years respectively.
