DU admissions 2017: First cut-off to be released on June 20
Delhi University (DU) is likely to announce the first cut-off for 2017 admissions to undergraduate courses on June 20. The cut-off declaration will be available on the university`s official website du.ac.in.
New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) is likely to announce the first cut-off for admissions to undergraduate courses for 2017 on June 20.
The cut-off declaration will be available on the university's official website - du.ac.in.
The university declared a total of six cut-offs to be released as of now and a span of three days will be allotted to students to undergo the admission process.
Following this, the next cut-off date will be released, the last being considered July 18.
Last year, the Ramjas College had announced the highest cut-off at 99.25 per cent for B Com honours, 98.75 for B Com and 98.5 for economics honours, according to a report by India Today.
As per The Times of India, Ashutosh Bhardwaj, the officer on special duty for admissions, said, the earlier system had several glitches. So a few changes have also been incorporated in this year's admission procedure to make it student-friendly.
The documents that the candidates need to carry during admission are (depending on the category in which they get admission):
- Class 10 mark-sheet and board examination certificate.
- Class 12 mark-sheet and provisional certificate/original certificate.
- Character certificate.
- Transfer certificate from school/college as well as migration certificate from board/university (Required for students who have passed senior secondary exam from outside Delhi).
- SC/ST certificate, in the name of the candidate issued by relevant authority.
- OBC certificate, in the name of the candidate issued by relevant authority.
- Two passport size self attested photograph.
- Scanned signature.
- Sports certificate for last three years.
