Ahmedabad: The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) will organise a management symposium on the campus from Friday.

Union minister Smriti Irani is expected to deliver the inaugural address at the event.


More than 20,000 students from over 250 educational institutions are expected to visit the IIM-A campus to participate in workshops, speaker sessions, panel discussions, and activities that are lined up for the four-day symposium, which is named as 'The Red Brick Summit', the organisers said.


The institute has decided to club together a host of events, that are organised on the campus every year, into one mega event starting this year, IIM-A's dean (programs) Shailesh Gandhi said.


"The event will be based on the theme - 'Challenge, Innovate, Redefine'," he said.


BJP MP Poonam Mahajan, MakeMyTrip Founder-CEO Deep Kalra, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (Amul) Managing Director R S Sodhi and ISRO Chairman A S Kiran Kumar will also address the event, a press release issued by the organisers said.


There will be workshops organised by Amazon, Uber, Ogilvy & Mather, NCDEX, Tata Trusts and others, the release added.
