"The decision of party president Sharad Pawar will be binding on the state unit," party spokesperson Vasant Chavan told reporters. "The NCP has three proposals over electoral pact with parties. The North-Eastern units are of the view that NCP should go with NDA, southern unit favour an alliance with left front while Maharahstra unit is urging to join hands with Congress," Chavan said. The decision in this regard will be taken in the party's national executive at New Delhi on January 14, he added.
