Swaraj, Dhindsa call on Badal in jail
Patiala, Dec 06: Union Health Minister Sushma Swaraj and Union Chemicals Minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa today called on former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, who is lodged in the Central Jail here in connection with the disproportionate assets cases filed against him.
Patiala, Dec 06: Union Health Minister Sushma Swaraj and Union Chemicals Minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa today called on former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, who is lodged in the Central Jail here in connection with the disproportionate assets cases filed against him.
Swaraj was accompanied by the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committeee (SGPC) president G S Tohra and former SGPC chief Jagir Kaur till the gate of the jail, but the two leaders did not enter the prison.
Dhindsa, who is also a senior leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), followed Swaraj to meet Badal.
Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal are in judicial custody in connection with disproportionate assets cases filed against them by the Punjab government.
