Hence, Rashi Sanon Narang, Founder and CEO Heads Up For Tails and Tail Lover`s Company came up with some tips to keep your pets warm, this winter.

Firstly, know your dog`s limits! Some dogs are more susceptible to the cold than others. Short-coated, thin, elderly, or very young dogs get cold more quickly - so adjust the amount of time they stay outside! If your dog enjoys being outdoors and you will be outside longer than a few minutes, consider outfitting it with a sweater or coat to keep it warm.

Secondly, say NO to bath. Bathe your pets as little as possible during cold spells. Washing too often can remove essential oils and increase the chance of developing dry, flaky skin. If your pooch must be bathed, ask your vet to recommend a moisturizing shampoo and/or rinse.

Thirdly, keep them hydrated. Pets burn extra energy by trying to stay warm in wintertime, sometimes causing dehydration. Feeding your pet a little bit more during the cold weather and making sure she has plenty of water to drink will help to keep her well-hydrated, and her skin less dry.

Fourthly, put the room heater away. If you have a pet that moves around (dogs and cats), ensure that you do away with room heaters, lamps or any other heating source. The pet might get too close to such radiators and get a burn.

Fifthly, keep them warm. Keep your dog warm and cozy with a dog fleece blanket. The super soft fleece material can be placed over your dog or his bed. They will provide the extra warmth that your pooch needs this winter.

Sixthly, keep that Snout moisturized. Keep that dry and crusty nose moisturized and smooth. The combination of organic wax, coconut, almond oil and vitamin E, make a terrific concoction that blends easily into the delicate area of your pooch`s nose.
