New Delhi, Sept 29: Nationalist Congress Party today expressed shock and grief over the terrorist attack on its candidate from the Devsar assembly constituency in Jammu and Kashmir, Khaleeda Mushtaq.
In a letter to chief minister Farooq Abdullah and Chief Election Commissioner J M Lyngdoh, NCP general secretary P A Sangma demanded that arrangements should be made to rush Mushtaq to Delhi by air for special medical treatment as her condition was serious, a party press release said here. The party alleged that no security or escort was provided to Mushtaq despite written requests to Abdullah by NCP president Sharad Pawar.
