Tokyo, May 27: The Euro rose to an all-time high against the Dollar in Tokyo trade today, touching 1.1914 dollars, a foreign exchange strategist said. "It's coming back down. We're back down to 1.1885 now but it hit 1.1914," said Marshall Gittler, senior currency strategist at Deutsche Bank.

The European single currency's previous record high of $ 1.1899 was set at its launch on January 4, 1999 and matched in mid-morning trade.
"A body in motion tends to stay in motion, unless acted upon by some external force and that's the thing, there's no external force acting upon it. Nobody's come out and said enough is enough for the Euro," Gittler said.
