He will be here for his new solo live show, Remix Experiment, presented by the Australian High Commission in collaboration with online music magazine Wild City.

Walsh -- best known for founding the live drum and bass act The Bird in the late 1990s -- will perform on October 8 at Bandstand here, before moving to Jodhpur to play at Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF), read a statement.

His latest project is a multi-media wall of sound and vision, and features a confluence of jazz-infused heavy basslines, and modern technology conceived by the 40-year-old.

At Jodhpur RIFF, he will meet up with Rajasthani percussionists - on the dholak, the khartal, the dhol - for a concert called RIFF Robust.

Walsh, who had earlier performed in cities like Mumbai and Chennai, last did a five-city India tour in June 2013.
