Jammu, Apr 01: Terming the killing of former National Conference minister Mustaq Lone in the previous Farooq Abdullah government as a conspiracy, the Mustaq Lone Memorial Trust today demanded a probe by CBI into the incident. “The killing of Mustaq Lone, former law and parliamentary affairs minister, was not a case of assassination in isolation as his elder brother Ghulam Mohideen Lone was also assassinated in December, 2001, just two months after killing of Mustaq Lone,” a spokesman of MMT said.
“This was not a killing in isolation but was a series of killings that needs a thorough probe by agency not less than CBI,” the spokesman added.
