Randhawa remanded to judicial custody
New Delhi, Nov 18: A city court yesterday remanded Navdeep Randhawa, arrested in connection with a shooting incident at Swiss Airlines office here over two months ago and a suspect in the high-profile Swiss diplomat rape case, to judicial custody till December 1.
New Delhi, Nov 18: A city court yesterday remanded Navdeep Randhawa, arrested in connection with a shooting incident at Swiss Airlines office here over two months ago and a suspect in the high-profile Swiss diplomat rape case, to judicial custody till December 1.
Metropolitan Magistrate Digvinay Singh remanded the 24-year-old youth, who had been in police custody since his arrest here on November 11, to 14 days judicial custody.
Police are trying to ascertain whether Randhawa was involved in the rape case and claim to have found certain similarities between him and the description of the accused who abducted and criminally assaulted the 35-year-old diplomat near Sirifort Auditorium during the International Film Festival of India here.
