Mumbai, June 09: Saili Joshi, Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPC) member and prime accused in the multi-crore paper scam, was today remanded to police custody till June 16 by a special court. Joshi was arrested last night after she was discharged from a hospital in Pune. She was brought to Mumbai this morning and produced before designated P N Deshmukh, who remanded her to custody.
Earlier, the court had issued search warrants against her and ACB raided her Mumbai house from where incriminating documents were recovered.
Joshi was implicated by co-accused and controller of examination, Sudhakar Sarodkar, who had made a statement before a magistrate.
