New Delhi, Dec 10: The Election Commission is likely to take a decision in a day or two on holding election to Surat city (West) Assembly constituency, where polling has been countermanded following the death of BJP candidate Hemant Chapatwala. A notice will go to BJP on whose ticket the candidate was contesting for nominating a new candidate and the polling would be held at a later date, EC sources said.
"The process is being activated. A decision on holding the election on a fresh date will be taken in a day or two", they said.
