Application filed in SC for staying Ayodhya demolition case
New Delhi, Aug 07: Mohd Aslam Bhure has filed an application in the Supreme Court seeking stay of the Ayodhya demolition case trial proceedings before a Rai Bareilly court in the wake of CBI allegedly dropping conspiracy charges against Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, HRD Minister M M Joshi and other BJP leaders.
New Delhi, Aug 07: Mohd Aslam Bhure has filed an application in the Supreme Court seeking stay of the Ayodhya demolition case trial proceedings before a Rai Bareilly court in the wake of CBI allegedly dropping conspiracy charges against Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, HRD Minister M M Joshi and other BJP leaders.
In the application filed through advocate O P Sharma, the
petitioner has sought initiation of action under Section 218
of IPC against CBI for filing allegedly "incorrect, truncated
and diluted" chargesheet and to initiate contempt proceedings
against the agency for "distorting and distracting" the
judicial process.
The application also sought an early hearing of his petition seeking review of the apex court decision allowing Uttar Pradesh government to transfer the Ayodhya demolition case against Advani and others from Lucknow to Rai Bareilly.
Aslam Bhure has filed the review petition on the apex court order of November 29 which was admitted on March 28 this year.
