Steps for revival of sick units in J&K
J&K, Dec 04: Several decisions for revival of sick industrial units in Jammu and Kashmir have been taken at the state level committee which met here under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce.

industrial units in Jammu and Kashmir have been taken at the
state level committee which met here under the chairmanship of
Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce.
The committee, which met here yesterday, with
Sahasranaman in the chair, decided to set up a sub-committee
at provincial level under joint director, industries, with
representatives from the concerned industry and financial
institutions to discuss and finalise recommendations.
It also decided that the current operational status of each sick unit should be presented to the state level committee and a list of all pending revival cases to the RBI and concerned banks to enable them to review each case, an official spokesman said.
It was decided that the designated officer of State Industrial Development Corporation (Sidco) would regularly monitor utilisation of soft loans and submit monthly report to the managing director.
Those who attended the meeting included director industries, managing director of Sidco and state financial corporation, representatives from RBI, SBI, PNB and J&K Bank.
