Chennai, Aug 21: The Cricket Board today said it
would abide by the decisions of the court vis-a-vis Ajay
Jadeja, whose case is pending in a Delhi Court.
"Our stand is loud and clear and we will abide by the directions of court," BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya said.
Answering questions on the player's on going battle after he was allegedly found guilty of match-fixing by the board's three-member disciplinary committee and banned for five years, Dalmiya said "certain decisions by the board were taken based on the CBI report. We are not reversing those decisions or taking any new ones."
Justice J K Mehra, who was appointed as an arbitrator by the Delhi High Court, gave the ruling in Jadeja's favour on the ban as he found BCCI-appointed commissioner Madhavan's report to be 'illegal and against the principles of natural justice'. He also set aside the findings of BCCI's disciplinary committee against Jadeja.
BCCI challenged the award on April 25 last, just two days before it was to become binding. Madhavan has also moved the Madras High Court to set aside the order of Justice Mehra.
