Oct 21: Blackburn defender Lorenzo Amoruso will have an exploratory operation on his knee on Wednesday. Amoruso, a summer signing from Rangers, had played every match for Rovers until he was forced to miss the Premiership encounter at Leeds on 4 October.
Although the defender returned for the Uefa Cup home game against Genclerbirligi the injury meant Amoruso was unable to play against Charlton on Monday evening and, as a result, he will undergo surgery to try to diagnose the problem.
Blackburn are already missing central defender Craig Short and the on-loan Markus Babbel through injury. Bureau Report
