India on Monday denied reports that Chinese software and telecom engineers working in a Bangalore-based company, which reportedly helped Pakistan and the Taliban regime to upgrade their telecommunication network, are to be deported, saying no such decision has been taken.

"There is no truth in this report. There is no decision to deport any Chinese software and telecom engineer working in India on legitimate employment visa," an external affairs ministry spokesperson told reporters. She was asked about reports which said that a Chinese software firm's business deals could be prejudicial to India's security interests.
