Ahmedabad, Nov 14: Police have recovered 20 crude bombs, packed in "pan masala tins", from a school compound in Viramgam town, about 60 Kms from here, a senior police official said. "Following an intense combing operation after communal violence, someone had hidden these bombs out of fear," District Superintendent of Police (Ahmedabad rural) Manoj Agrawal told.

The bombs were recovered yesterday after some children noticed them and informed about this to police.

Meanwhile, the official said the situation in Viramgam, which witnessed communal clashes on Nov 2, was completely normal and the night curfew has been lifted since yesterday.

Also, five more persons, who were absconding after the communal violence, were arrested yesterday taking the total number of arrests to 30, sources added. Ex-councillor and the main culprit Purushottam Jadav is among the arrested.
Three persons were killed and about 40 injured in communal clashes triggered following a squabble over cricket being played near a temple.
