London: Singer Dolly Parton says she has stopped making New Year resolutions as she sticks to it only for a few weeks. The 68-year-old '9 to 5' hitmaker feels every year she makes several promises but always fails to keep them, reported Contactmusic.

"It's always the same thing, I'm gonna exercise more this year, I'm gonna eat better. And that lasts for a couple of weeks and then I'm right back where I started. So I don't make them because I always break them," Parton said.


Parton has no plans of retiring anytime soon and thinks the secret to staying fit and healthy is to keep yourself busy. "I like being busy and I get energised by doing everything. This is what I've always wanted to do and creativity is a great energy," she added.
