Ahmedabad, May 12: A metropolitan court today remanded to judicial custody 16 people, including the 10 Pota accused, allegedly involved in series of “tiffin bomb” blasts inside local transport buses here in may last year. Rejecting prosecution's plea to extend the police remand for 10 more days, metropolitan magistrate R I Raval ordered judicial custody.
The five “ISI agents” nabbed on April 3--Mohammed Pervez Sheikh, Rehan Abdul Majid Punthawala, Mohammed Yunus Sareshwala, Mohammed Riaz alias Goru Abdul Wahid Sareshwala and Munawar Beigh alias captain Yakub Miyan Mirza were produced in court along with 11 others. The other five Pota accused are Afzal Khan alias Babu Murtuza Khan, Idris Khan Pathan, Mohammed Zaheer Mohammed Iqbal Sheikh, Mehbood Rajasha and Mohammed Tareeq Sheikh.
Six others, alleged to be involved in the “tiffin bomb” blasts are Nasir Khan Pathan, Mohammed Habib Mohammed Shafi Hawa, Sanobar Khan Pathan, Shoaib Abdul Rehman Surti, Nissar Ahmed Sheikh and Feroz Khan alias Raju. All 16 are residents of different parts of the walled city. Bureau Report
