New Delhi, Dec 08: State BJP chief Vasundhara Raje would take oath as first woman Chief Minister of Rajasthan on December 8, party sources said in Jaipur last week.
Raje would be sworn in at a ceremony in 'Amroodon Ka Bagh,' the first time outside the premises of Raj Bhawan, state vice-president of BJP Omkar Singh Lakhawat told reporters.
Uma Bharti, who led an unprecedented saffron surge in Madhya Pradesh, will also be sworn in as Chief Minister at the historic Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal today with the function being held for the first time in an open ground.
Bharti, who would be the first woman Chief Minister of the central state, was elected leader of BJP legislature party at a meeting here yesterday.
Soon after her election as the BJP legislature party leader, she would drive down to Raj Bhavan to formally call on Governor Ram Prakash Gupta and convey the decision of BJP legislature party, they said.



Earlier, outgoing state Chief Minister Digvijay Singh met the Governor and submitted his resignation.
