New Delhi, May 08: Over 200 sugarcane farmers from Uttar Pradesh today breached high security to reach close to Parliament House to protest over prices, police sources said. The farmers burnt sugarcane sticks on reaching Vijay Chowk, just 50 metres short of Parliament House complex, they said.

Policemen in hordes reached the spot but found tough to disperse the gathering, they said.

Security around the parliament complex and at all roads leading to it is intense since the terrorist attack on December 13, 2001.

Police has also banned holding of rallies and taking out protest marches within three kilometres around the complex.
