Mumbai, Dec 06: Reliance Industries Ltd's Hazira petrochemical plant has won the British Safety Council's 'Sword of Honour' for the second time. The award, which recognises organisations that have implemented safety systems which are among the best in the world, was presented to RIL executive director H S Kohli at a function at London, RIL said in a release here today.
Reliance is one of the 21 companies worldwide to have won the award and its Patalganga complex in Maharashtra had earlier won it four times, the release said.
In his congratulatory message, British Prime Minister Tony Blair said, "These awards recognise the crucial success these organisations and their employees have achieved in their pursuit of excellence in management of health, safety and environment best practices.” Bureau Report
