Beijing, May 08: The remains of the three Chinese engineers killed in a car bomb attack in Pakistan have been brought back to China. The bodies of the three engineers were brought to Tianjin, a municipality in Northern China by a special plane of the Pakistan Air Force late last night, escorted by Pakistani officials, Xinhua news agency reported.

They were sent to Pakistan by the Tianjin-based China harbour engineering company to construct a Deep Sea Port in Gwadar, about 500 km west of Karachi. Earlier, four Chinese engineers wounded in the explosion had arrived in Beijing Friday morning and were immediately admitted to the Beijing Union Medical College Hospital for further medical treatment.

A senior hospital official said the four were in relatively stable condition. China has sent a four-member medical team to Karachi to treat five Chinese engineers still in Pakistan, of whom three almost recovered and two were in unstable condition after operation.

The two need to receive further medical treatment in Pakistan and they will be transferred back to China when their condition get improved, he said.

Three Chinese engineers were killed and nine others were wounded earlier Monday when an unoccupied car exploded near their bus in Gwadar. China has asked Pakistan to properly investigate the bombing incident and punish the guilty.
