Trinamool drops Sudip Bandyopadhyya
Kolkata, Mar 03: The Trinamool Congress today formally dropped two-time MP Sudip Bandyopadhyya from Calcutta North-West constituency while announcing the names of candidates for 26 of the 29 Lok Sabha seats it would contest in West Bengal.
Kolkata, Mar 03: The Trinamool Congress today formally dropped two-time MP Sudip Bandyopadhyya from Calcutta North-West constituency while announcing the names of candidates for 26 of the 29 Lok Sabha seats it would contest in West Bengal.
Releasing the list of candidates Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee told a conference that city Mayor Subrata Mukherjee would contest from the Calcutta North-West seat, held by Bandyopadhyya.
Out of the 42 seats in West Bengal, TC would contest 29 leaving 13 to electoral ally, BJP, she said. The candidates for three other seats would be announced later, she said. Bureau Report
