New Delhi, July 15: Castigating the NDA government for its economic policy of privatisation and liberalisation, the Lok Janshakti Party today announced that it would launch its own trade union.
Demanding that the right to work be made a fundamental right, party president Ram Vilas Paswan today said, "We have taken a decision to launch a trade union affiliated to the party-the Janshakti Mazdoor Sabha. The union will represent both organised labour and unorganised labour".
Saying the union would have the same flag as the party, Paswan added that those union members nominating 5,000 members would be considered for positions in its central office. "A 11-member steering committee has already been set up", the LJP leader said.
Paswan also said that his "party will organise a rally on 30th July in the city to protest against the privatisation and liberalisation process of the government", he said.
