Agartala, July 03: Tripura Government has announced certain service facilities for its employees and increased pension to fixed labourers serving in four departments, state information minister Jitendra Chowdhury said today. Briefing reporters on the decisions taken by the council of ministers here last night, chowdhury said a single eligible member of the government employees' family would be provided with job in the event of the person being physically disabled completely in any mishap while being on duty or out of duty.

He said at present such facilities are available only after the death of the employee in die-in-harness category.
The minister said among the major decisions the cabinet also approved a proposal for increasing the pension of fixed labourers from Rs 100 to Rs 400 per month.

About 2000 fixed labourers empolyed in departments of forest, agriculture, animal resources and industry and commerce would benefit under the increased pension scheme, he said.
Chowdhury said the cabinet also approved a decision to introduce specific syllabus in joint entrance examinations for students to gain access to higher studies. Bureau Report
