London, Nov 07: A long slide of official interest rates in the leading global economies came to an end on Thursday when Britain pushed up the average rate of the big four central banks for the first time since October ‘00. The Bank of England’s decision to raise its repo rate nudged the average of the top four economies up to 1.69% from a low of 1.63% which had held since July. Bureau Report
