Vienna, July 01: The head of the UN's nuclear
watchdog, Mohamed Elbaradei, today accepted an invitation to
visit Iran to discuss Tehran's compliance with international
nuclear regulations.
"Elbaradei has received an invitation to visit Iran to
discuss the implementation of nuclear safeguards (and) intends
to respond positively", Mark Gwozdecky, spokesman for the
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) told reporters.
No dates had been set for the trip, he said.
Iran's national security council chief, Hassan Rowhani,
said today he wanted to clear up "technical problems" noted in
an IAEA report, which found Iran to have violated the nuclear
