Basra, Apr 24: Three Iraqis were arrested in connection with suicide bomb attacks that killed 74 people, and a truck laden with 3.5 tonnes of explosives was seized, a police intelligence official said in Basra. "We believe these three Iraqis are linked to the attacks," captain Jassem Darragi told.
Five coordinated suicide car bomb attacks in the city of Basra and in nearby Zubair left 74 people dead and more than 160 wounded on Wednesday, according to a spokesman of the US-led coalition in British-occupied southern Iraq.
