Srinagar, Oct 10: Senior National Conference leader and former Jammu and Kashmir Housing Minister Ghulam Mohiuddin Shah today pleaded innocence in the land scam case registered against him, saying it was a part of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's plan to tarnish the image of his party. "These are cheap and mean tactics used by Mufti Sayeed to tarnish the image of the premier political party of the state but I am sure that he will not succeed in his attempts as I have done no wrong," Shah told reporters here. "I challenge people to prove any allegation against me. If there is an iota of truth in the allegations, I will resign from pragmatic politics as we want to set healthy precedent," he said.

Shah said the entire exercise was undertook to malign his and his party's image as the government had failed miserably on all fronts. Bureau Report
