New Delhi, Nov 02: Bahujan Samaj Party today released a list of 40 candidates for the coming assembly election in Delhi. For the remaining 30 seats, BSP's state unit chief Dharamvir Singh Ashok told reporters that the party had left it to its supporters to vote for any candidate whom they deemed capable of defeating BJP. "We are contesting 40 seats in which we are strong enough to defeat BJP. But the remaining seats we are leaving to our supporters to back a candidate of their choice irrespective of party affiliations whom they think can defeat the saffron party," he said. The BSP leader exuded confidence that his party would garner a fair percentage of votes since its performance was gradually improving in Delhi where it had raised its vote share from three per cent in the last assembly elections to six per cent in last year's civic polls.
