Ayodhya, July 01: Cautioning the Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswathi against being a party to any "give and take" formula to settle Ayodhya issue, Ram Janambhumi Nyas president Mahant Ram Chandra Paramhans Das today asked BJP to come out of the NDA alliance and seek fresh mandate if it was unable to bring forward a legislation on the Ram temple construction. Demanding a legislation to hand over the acquired land here to VHP and pave the way for construction of Ram temple, the Mahant in a statement here also said that there would be no negotiation on the Kashi and Mathura issues.
Reminding the BJP of its "commitment" to the people in the elections, Das said if the BJP could not fulfil it's promise due to NDA government's policy against a temple in Ayodhya, then the party should come out of the alliance and seek fresh mandate.
The Nyas chief said solution of the Ayodhya issue would not be possible without taking saints and VHP into confidence.
He said the Kanchi Shankaracharya, who has taken an initiative to resolve the vexed problem, should not be party to any "give and take" formula as it was against the faith and belief of the Hindu community in the country.
"The Kanchi seer does not have the support of about 90 crore Hindus of the country," Das said.
The Mahant said "we have conceded our claims for thousands of Hindu temples which were demolished by foreign invaders (but) now we would not negotiate with our legitimate claims from Kashi and Mathura and we are prepared for long drawn agitation on the temple issue."
He said any new building should not be allowed to be constructed within the 'chaudahkosi Parikrama' limits of Ayodhya and Faizabad. Bureau Report
