Speed dating on the bus of love
Mumbai, Apr 12: Love is in the air. And the air is conditioned. Chased out of promenades and seafaces, glared at by prying cops, courting couples in the city have finally found refuge in the cool environs of BEST`s AC buses.

The moral police might freeze in shock, but the unexpected privacy offered by these buses has proved irresistible - and the lovebirds love it.
"There's scarcely anyone to disturb us during the hour-and-a-half it takes from Hutatma Chowk to Santa Cruz," says Dhimant Mehta, a 19-year-old student of Sydenham College at Churchgate.
In fact, the route, A-1, is such a hit with Sydenhamites that Mehta has to compete with other collegians for the best seats, which are in the last row. "There are several regulars like us who board the AC bus at the starting point and get off only at the last stop," says Sunil Nair, an engineering student who discovered the A-8 (Mantralaya to Ghatkopar) three months ago.
