Chandigarh, Nov 25: Fourteen police officers, five IPS and nine from Punjab Police Service (PPS), were transferred in Punjab today. The transferred IPS officers, Paramjit Singh Sarao, Sanjeev Kalra, Nirmal Singh Dhillon and Jasminder Singh, have been posted as DIGs of Faridkot range, provisioning and modernisation, litigation and computer and telecommunications respectively, an official release said here.
Shashi Prabha Dwivedi, IPS, has been posted as commandant, 75th Battalion, Punjab Armed Police, Jalandhar.
The Vigilance Bureau has been strengthened with the posting of four PPS officers as Superintendents of Police (SPs), Vigilance. Those posted are Tulsi Ram, Ranjit Singh, Darshan Kumar and Surinder Kumar Kalia, the release said.
Harmanbir Singh, SP, Operations, Ludhiana has been shifted to Amritsar as SP, City, in place of Nilabh Kishore, who moved to Bhatinda from where Ajay Maluja has been posted as SP Detective, Bhatinda.
Darshan Singh Mann, SP, Detective, Bhatinda has been shifted to Faridkot as SP, Headquarters in place of Gursewak Singh Toor, posted as Assistant Commandant, 27th Batalion, PAP, Jalandhar.
