Kolkata/Lucknow, June 15:The class 10 board results of the West Bengal board, also known as the Madhyamik, are out. The overall pass percentage is 70.45 per cent. The exams were held in the month of March with around 5 lakh 80 thousand candidates taking them.

And this time round it is the boys who have outshined the girls. The boys have a pass percentage of 73 per cent while 65 per cent girls have cleared the exam.

Although the results have been declared, they'll only be posted in schools tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, the class 12 board results have also been declared in Uttar Pradesh. Over eight lakh students had appeared for it out of which 70.51 per cent students have passed.

The pass percentage for boys is 61.42 per cent, while for girls it is 84.82 per cent. Nine of the top 10 rankers are from Kanpur. Bureau Report
