BJP to field candidates in both Lok Sabha seats of Manipur
Imphal, Jan 15: Manipur BJP would field its candidates in both the Lok Sabha seats of the state in the forthcoming parliamentary elections, BJP state unit president Th. Chaoba Singh has said.

The state has just two parliamentary constituencies, Inner Manipur and Outer Manipur.
No discussion among partners of the opposition Democratic People's Alliance (DPA) in the state was held so far to select common candidates for the polls, Singh told reporters here yesterday. He said BJP hoped that other constituents of the DPA would support their candidates.
Besides BJP whih has four MLAs in the 60-member Manipur assembly, DPA's other constituents are federal party of Manipur (13), Manipur People's Party (2) and Manipur state Congress Party (2).
