New Delhi, May 08: The Election Commission will take a decision today on the demand for repoll in some constituencies of Bihar where Lok Sabha elections were held on May 5. The commission, which has been closely monitoring developments in the state, has sought more details from the Chief Electoral Officer, returning officers and the observers. Polling for the 12 parliamentary constituencies in the state on that day included Madhepura, where Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Laloo Prasad Yadav is contesting against Union Minister and Janata Dal(U) leader Sharad Yadav. The commission has already announced repoll in other states including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, where polling was held on May 5.
