New Delhi, Apr 01: In the backdrop of uneasy ties between BJP and BSP, ruling coalition partners in Uttar Pradesh, the saffron party central leadership has called its state leaders for a meeting here today to review the political situation in the state.
The meeting, to be held at the residence of BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu, will discuss ways to smoothen relations with BSP and how to have better coordination among alliance partners.
Even though a section of UP BJP leadership is unconvinced about the efficacy of the coalition with BSP, top BJP leaders are of the view that the alliance should continue in larger interests of the party particularly in view of coming assembly polls in four states later this year and Lok Sabha elections in 2004.
