Madurai, Sept 25: Senior DMK leader M K Azhagiri, son of DMK supremo M Karunanidhi, and 11 others appeared before the judicial magistrate court in connection with the alleged murder of former DMK minister T Kiruttinan today, but chargesheet was not given to them as one of the accused could not be present. Azhagiri, who had come from Bangalore to accept the charge-sheet, returned to Bangalore as per the condition of the Madras High Court which released him on bail.

One of the accused Oothal Pandi could not appear in the court as he had a stomach problem. As the rule stipulated that the charge-sheet should be read out in the presence of the all the accused, Azhagiri and eleven others were asked to come on October 3. Judicial Magistrate Vanitha directed all the accused to be present on October 3 to accept the chargesheet.
