Mumbai, Oct 28: Electronics goods major Philips India has posted a higher net profit of Rs 24.9 crore for the third quarter ending September 2003 as against Rs 13.7 crore in the same period in 2002. The total income for the reporting quarter rose to Rs 40.26 crore as against Rs 37.96 crore in the July-September 2002, the company informed the stock exchange, Mumbai on Monday.
The company managing director K Ramachandran said, "our performance in this quarter continues to reflect focus on sustainable profitability." Bureau Report
