New Delhi, June 29: Infosys chairman N R Narayana Murthy expressed optimism on Saturday regarding opportunities in China and would look forward to doing business there. "I am an optimist. I am sure that with a giant neighbour like China, we have great opportunity in every area -- complimentary as well and those where we can add value to China and China can add values. As long as we go in an open mind, and confidence, I have no doubt that we can enhance the trade with China", he said on the sidelines of the GB Pant memorial lecture here.
He however did not refer to any particular areas of cooperation between the two countries saying "We being neighbours and two giant nations in Asia, we should look at all the areas. We need to work out and arrange where we can work together".
On whether, it should be joint venture route to enter China or stand-alone operations, he said "whatever is the model, it is the trade that is important. It has to be balanced trade. I think we have to take it to a much higher level".
On the company's performance and plans, he said Infosys is currently under the black-out period as the first quarter results are due next month. Bureau Report
